Jan and Craig hiking in Saguaro National Park.

We are surrounded by a large number of Saguaro cactus but many varieties grow here.

The flowers are in bloom due to more rain than normal. Some cacti are also in bloom.

We are headed toward Wasson Peak.

It is a perfect day for hiking, not too hot but lots of sun.

The long distance scenery is also spectacular.

More varieties of cactus can be seen here. We also found a rare flower with the help of a fellow hiker.

We need to turn around about 4/5th of the way to Wasson Peak but make it to the ridge where most of the wildflowers can be seen.

Jan treats me to the Biosphere two for my birthday.

Here I am standing in the rainforest.

The complex is huge. It is no longer completely separated from the outside world and some air is exchanged.

The round lung can be seen in the background that allows for air expansion and contraction as the temperature changes.
